The most welcome visitor in many months at the German prisoner camp at Altdamm, Pomerania, was this wagon load of "corned willie" brought to the relief of the Russian prisoners still awaiting transport home by the American Red Cross Mission

by the American Red Cross, soon after its arrival

are exceedingly primative but with supplies brought in
by the American Red Cross the Russian captives manage to fix up three more or less "squares" daily

This view of idle men gives one a good general impression
of most of the Prison Camps as they were.
The activities of the ARC in these camps is providing food and clothing, introducing system, improving general living conditions.
Have done much towards diminishing idleness.
