canteen workers, Miss Cheta Geary, of Denver, and Miss Letitia Curtis of San Francisco

who fed the Italian and Allied released prisoners and went over into Baden, Germany,

being the first American women to enter Germany after the signing of the armistice

Miss Marjorie Kay of New York has spent about a year in the American Hospital in France.

The photograph shows her in attendance in the operating room where the jaws of a French soldier are being reconstructed after a German shell had battered them beyond recognition

between 1917 and 1920

Sergent Williams of the 2nd Suffolk who was badly wounded at the Battle of the Marne.

He had a leg shot away but secured a German Artillery Officer's helmet.

These old people sit patiently about the fire at the Hospital du College,

a refuge for repatriate old people at Evian.

They have all been to Germany and have been returned to France,

they were only burdens to the Germans
