USS Corona
Corona departed New York City 31 July 1917 for
St. John's, Newfoundland, the Azores,
and Brest, France,
where she arrived
30 August.
She escorted convoys and patrolled in the English Channel and off the west coast of France,
based on Brest,
until the end of World War I.

5 December 1918
for New London, Connecticut,
arriving 28 December 1918

USS Yankton
En 1917, le yacht est armé. Il rejoint la Patrol Force, chargée de patrouiller les eaux américaines et d'escorter les convois dans l'Atlantique nord.
En 1918, il rejoint Gibraltar et patrouille dans l'ouest de la Méditerranée.
Après la fin de la guerre, en 1919, la goélette fait des aller-retours entre Mourmansk et Arkhangelsk, puis rentre aux États-Unis en 1920.
